Harmonic Device
Modern devices such as the Harmonic device were used in this type of operation. The parathyroid glands were identified and preserved to prevent a drop in calcium levels. Similarly, the nerves of the vocal cords were identified and protected. The wound was closed using the “magic stitch” technique.

The thyroid surgery incision is closed using a cosmetic stitching technique. After a few weeks or months, the scar may fade almost completely and become barely visible.
